History of The MLB (Summed Up)

Some sources say differently, but the common belief of the beginning of baseball is that a man named Abner Doubleday came up with the idea of the sport, A.J. Spalding created the baseball. The Baseball Hall of Fame is located in Cooperstown, New York. It is the home of the many greats that have breathed and lived the game of baseball. Instead of telling you every moment of baseball history, since there is so much to explore, I am going to tell you some of the greats of the game of baseball and what impact they have made to the game.


Former Greats:

He is also responsible for the Boston Red Sox curse, at least until it was broke it in 2004), Ty Cobb, Cy Young (He even has an award named after him), Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Jackie Robinson (First african-american baseball player in the MLB and his number 42 is retired in every MLB Stadium which is 30 places across the United States and Canada), Ted Williams, (All he wanted in life was for people to say, "there goes Ted Williams, the greatest baseball player to ever live"), Sandy Koufax, Yogi Berra, Roberto Clemente, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Whitey Ford (I actually have his autograph...), Ernie Banks, Al Kaline, Bob Gibson, Frank Robinson, Harmon Killebrew, Brooks Robinson, Hank Aaron, Lou Brock, Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Catfish Hunter, Steve Garvey, Pete Rose, Tom Seaver, Rod Carew, Reggie Jackson, Nolan Ryan (I have his autograph too), Ozzie Smith, Tony Gwynn, Cal Ripkin Jr., Ken Griffey Jr., Frank Thomas, Greg Maddux, Mike Piazza, Chipper Jones, Vladimir Guerrero, Tom Glavine, Mariano Rivera, Derek Jeter, and many more.
